Thurs, June 2, 4 pm to 6 pm: HPS Equity Alliance meeting. Recently formed organization of Holland Public Schools "stakeholders" (students, families, school employees, district residents) who intend to "keep social justice and equity at the forefront of our work at HPS" in various ways, including dialogue, research, data analysis, forums, the distribution of resources, policies, procedures, etc. (616) 401-3856. Exhibit
Photographs of World Heritage Sites of Japan: Loaned to the City of Holland by the Japan Foundation of New York, the exhibit includes 67 photographs by award-winning photographer Kazuyoshi Miyoshi, whose work is part of the permanent collection of the Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film in Rochester, NY. The traveling exhibit is "a gift to communities throughout the U.S. as appreciation for relief efforts after the Toboku region disaster." On view through the month of May at City Hall, Herrick District Library, Holland Museum, and Holland Visitors and Convention Bureau.
