West Michigan Language Lovers! More native English speakers are needed for Reciprocal Language Partnership classes starting next Tuesday! For the Intermediate level class, we currently have 11 native Spanish speakers signed up and only two native English speakers. So, we need nine more native English speakers for the Intermediate class. If you have a decent grasp of Spanish and want to brush up on your skills, call Rachel Patmos at 738-3850 TODAY (Sept. 15) by 5:00 for details!

Student members of GLOBE (gay, lesbian, or bisexual equality) at Hope College and their administrative liaison "will discuss ways in which Hope's LGBTQ+ students have support on campus and how they are building a network of allies." Sept 18, 7 pm: "Hope for Peace and Justice" highlighting 2017 International Day of Peace. ----Thurs, Sept 21, 6:30 pm: Documentary, "The Way to Andina," Award-winning Tulipanes film sponsored by the Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony (ACEH). 70-minute humorous, personal adventure documentary about the life and music of an Colombian immigrant to the U.S., the opera he composed. and his great-grandson who produced the film. At both locations of Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland: Southside, 435 Van Raalte, and Northside, 583 Riley, Holland. Director Arlen Parsa will speak at Southside Club.
Tues, Oct 3, 7 pm: Public forum: "Thinking about Faith and Politics in our Democratic System." Speaker: Dr. David Ryden, Hope College professor of political science.
