Mon, July 13, 7 pm: General meeting of the Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony (ACEH)   Showing 40-minute documentary "Selma: The Bridge to the Ballot," produced by the Southern Poverty Law Center Teaching Tolerance project: "The story of courageous students and teachers, with other activists, who fought a nonviolent battle to win voting rights for African Americans in the South."  Speakers will present information on voting rights and voter registration. Program is co-sponsored by TRIO/Upward Bound at Hope College.  Everyone is welcome.  At Winants Auditorium, Graves Hall, College Ave at 11th St, Holland.

Community Opportunities
Ottawa County 4-H and The Rock Urban Youth Ministry  needs volunteers "to bring hands-on, experiential learning to children living at the Holland Rescue Mission on Fairbanks Ave." Youth will take part in 4-H clubs. (1) Gardening club needs help on Thursday afternoons; no experience working with youth is necessary--just an interest in horticulture and helping your community.  (2) Urban art program needs a local aerosol/graffiti artist to help youth develop their own masterpieces.
