TONIGHT, Fri, July 20, 7 pm: PFLAG Holland/Lakeshore meeting. View, discuss first part of film "Word Is Out," the first (1977) feature-length documentary by gay filmmakers about lesbian and gay people who tell the story of their lives. Gender SAFE meets 6 pm to 7 pm. At Grace Episcopal Church, 555 Michigan Ave, Holland.
Sat, July 21, noon to 4 pm: Let's Vote! Family fun day: Learn about women who fought for the vote, in "Atmosphere of Distinction" exhibit, make your own voter card, practice voting, craft a U.S. flag, learn how to contact your representatives. Register to vote. Event geared to elementary-age students and their families; included with paid museum admission. Adults who register to vote at the event will receive free admission for themselves and their family. At Holland Museum, 31 West 10th St, Holland.
Mon, July 23, 7 pm: Documentary, "Trails of Hope and Terror," award-winning film on immigration by former Hope College professor Miguel De La Torre. The 55-minute film will be followed by discussion facilitated by Roberto Jara. Event is co-sponsored by Upward Bound, a Hope College program for high school students, and by ACEH. Free, open to the public. At Graves Hall, College Ave at 11th St, Holland.
Wed, July 25, 6 pm: Attorney Q&A panel to answer questions about the immigration process. At Hope Church RCA, 77 West 11th St, Holland.
Mon, July 30, 5:30 pm: LEDA Immigrant Allies meeting. At Herrick District Library, 300 S. River, Holland.
Tues, Aug 7, 9 pm: Free Movies in the Park: "Coco." Hosted by Herrick District Library, BPW, and City of Holland. At Kollen Park, Lake Macatawa, Holland.

Sun, August 12, 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm: 20th anniversary ACEH Potluck in the Park! Fun, fellowship, great food, music, family activities, information tables! Bring a dish to share from your cultural background, if possible. ACEH provides beverages and table service. Invite family, friends, newcomers in town!
