Fri., May 12, 7 pm:  Take a fresh look at Holland’s history, with slides, stories, and “quirky anecdotes” about the city, presented by local historian  Randy Vande Water at the Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony.  Free and open to the public; everyone is welcome.  The ACEH children's group, UNITY, also will meet.  At Center for Women in  Transition, 411 Butternut, Holland.  Call 786-0829 or 396-2201.

 

Tues., May 16, 7 pm: Circle Theatre production of “Oliver” to benefit the Grand Rapids Area Center for Ecumenism (GRACE), sponsor of the GR Summit on Racism and other community programs.  Tickets $25; reserve online at www.graceoffice.org or call Phil Boogaart, (616) 459-1349.  Reception, 7 pm; curtain, 8 pm.  At Aquinas College Performing Arts Center, 1607 Robinson Rd. Thurs., May 18, 6:30 to 9 pm: Informational Community Forum for Hispanics on family law, sponsored by Latin Americans United for Progress (LAUP). Panel of speakers, in Spanish.  Free, no registration needed. At New Community Fourth Reformed Church, 283 West 15th, Holland.
