Wed, Sept 19, 6 pm: Reception for "Haiku Middle Passage" multimedia, interactive exhibit commemorating the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade; includes poems, visual arts, music.  Reception features a talk by Pennsylvania State University professor Iyunolu Osagie.  Coordinated by Mursalata Muhammad, the exhibit continues through October 5.  At Paul Collins Art Gallery, Grand Rapids Community College, 143 Bostwick Ave NE (fourth floor, main building) Grand Rapids.
