Today, Mon, Mar 31, 7:30 pm: 12th annual Paul B. Henry Lecture: "Religious Tolerance—Love Your Neighbor," by Dean Koldenhoven, former mayor of Palos Heights, IL, and recipient of the 2002 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award for supporting the sale of a vacant church to the  Al Salam Mosque Foundation despite the opposition of the city council and local residents.  At Calvin College Prince Conference Center, 1800 East Beltline, SE, Grand Rapids.

 

Fri, Apr 4, 6 pm until 9 pm:  "Under the Banyan Tree," paintings of day-to-day life in modern India by Holland artist Sandra R. Hansen.   Pakoras and tea will be served, and henna painting done.  Hansen's paintings will be displayed indefinitely.  At Taj India Restaurant, 91 Douglas Ave, Holland (across from D&W).

Mon, Apr 14, 7 pm until 8:30 pm: Model Seder of Temple Emanuel, to which the community is invited as part of the Temple's "continued interest in sharing Jewish traditions with our neighbors."  The seder is a ceremonial meal that begins the celebration of Passover.  Seating is lmited--RSVP requested; call (616) 459-5976.
