TONIGHT, Fri, Mar 16, 7 pm (support group), 8 pm (program): PFLAG meeting. Documentary: "Selma to Stonewall: Are We There Yet?" Meeting also celebrates 45th anniversary of PFLAG, founded in 1973; now has 400 chapters across U.S. Gender SAFE (Supporting All For Equality) meets at 6 pm. TONIGHT, Fri, Mar 16 – Sat, Mar 17, 7:30 pm: Film: "Te Ata," based on true story of Mary Thompson Fisher, known as Te Ata, who performed songs and stories from her Chickasaw culture despite barriers that created hardships and who became "one of the greatest Native American performers." Sat, Mar 17, 1 pm: "What Does an Inclusive City Look Like?" The public is invited to meet with members of the Holland Human Relations Commission "to learn, explore, and discuss—and offer feedback on--what Holland's Inclusive City Initiative should look like." Wed, Mar 21, 4:30 pm to 6 pm: Dance of Hope: Music and dance performance by Ugandan children. Free, but donations accepted to support the troupe. Part of national movement inspired and led by students "who will no longer wait for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings."
