 Sun, Aug 11, 1 pm to 4:30 pm:  The 21st annual Potluck in the Park of the Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony (ACEH), with family games and activities, fun, fellowship, and great food! Please bring a dish to share, from your heritage if possible. Lawn chairs for extra seating would be welcome. ACEH supplies table service, beverages, hot dogs.

 The event is free, but we welcome donations to help grow our Scholarship Fund.  Next year we hope to offer awards to four graduating high school seniors.

 Drew Peirce of Good Samaritan Ministries will be our special speaker on affordable housing!

 Fri, Sept 13, 9 am: 2019 West Michigan Summit on Immigration and Refugee Rights: "De-Marginalizing Immigrants."  Geared toward service providers who work with immigrant populations: lawyers, healthcare professionals, teachers, social workers, government and nonprofit employees, other social services providers.  Attendees will learn more about what they can do to help immigrants navigate complex systems and adjust to living in U.S., and ways to advocate for immigrants in their workplaces.  Three breakout sessions; a plenary keynote panel.  Hosted by Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates.   In lieu of (or in addition to) paying dues, you may join as a service member, volunteering for the group.  ACEH is a 501c3 organization.  Our fiscal year is October 1 to September 30.
