Wed, Aug 7, 8 am to 10 am: Community Diversity Workshop: Health. "Prioritizing Community Health to Achieve Health Equity." Discussions on disparities in health outcomes across different communities and promotion of policies, programs, and education surrounding health equity for all communities. Drew Peirce of Good Samaritan Ministries will be our special speaker on affordable housing! Please bring a dish to share from your heritage, and a lawn chair for extra seating. "Changing America": The Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 and the March on Washington in 1963, and how they shaped Grand Rapids.
