Holland Public Schools is offering classes to help people learn or improve their English; classes begin Mon, Sept 13. Cost is $20 per year, 12 hours of class per week (4 days a week), flexible schedule (mornings and evenings), 4 levels of English, certified teachers, state-approved curriculum, computer lab. Registration requirements: Must be 20 years old by Sept 1, 2010; picture ID required; registration/testing takes 1 ½ hours. Latin Americans United for Progress (LAUP) is offering four types of classes for the Fall 2010 semester:
· English as a Second Language starts Mon, Sept 13, and meets three times a week: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
· Computers, starts mid-September for Basic Computing and Advanced Computing.
· Spanish GED is an ongoing class that meets on Thursday and Friday nights.
· Financial Literary, scheduled on demand; expected to start in mid-September.
