TODAY, 3 pm to 4:30 pm.  Monthly group for women with disabilities "to share, explore, and learn from each other."  Open to women of all ages who "have experienced a disability at some point in their lives, whether visible to others or not."  Contact Carrie at (616) 396-5326 for information or to tell Disability Network/Lakeshore that you are planning to attend.

Sat, May 19, 11 am to 4 pm: Holland International Relations Commission's 4th annual Festival: Celebrating Our Multicultural Connections, with Holland Youth Advisory Council. Thurs, May 24, 7 pm: "Five Women-Five Journeys" interfaith panel discussion; includes women from Baha'I, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, and Muslim faith traditions.  Panelists are from WISDOM (Women's Interfaith Solutions for Dialogue and Outreach in Metro Detroit); they hope to empower women to take a more active role in furthering social justice and peace. Fri, May 25, 5:30 pm: The Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony (ACEH) general meeting (note change from usual date and time).  Potluck and Hearts in Harmony program to honor our vice-president, Rev. COMMUNITY ACTION HOUSE: Financial Management Workshop,

Foreclosure Prevention Services

1) Wed, May 30 – Wed, July 11, 6 to 8 pm: Community Action House is offering a six-week workshop on Financial Management (money management, spending plan, credit and consumer protection, debt reduction, savings and banking basics, insurance and long-term planning, living in a happy, health home).  Photo I.D. and income verification required; participants must attend all 6 sessions to earn a certificate.  Contact Gwen Robles at (616) 738-1170, ext. 123 or grobles@communityactionhouse.org  At Macatawa Resource Center, 665 136th Ave, Holland.

www.InterninMichigan.com is a statewide website helping to match students seeking internships with employers looking for interns.  Internships may be paid or unpaid, depending on the nature of the company or agency.
