Fri, Apr 12, 7 pm: General meeting of the Alliance for Cultural and
Ethnic Harmony (ACEH). Discussion "Let's Talk About It: Round Tables on
Race," facilitated by David Douglas, ACEH founder, former West Ottawa
teacher and counselor, and an experienced diversity trainer. Everyone

West Coast Chamber of Commerce. Honors Minority Business of the Year

Wed, Apr 17, noon to 5 pm: Grand Rapids Cultural Tour on Multiracial
Association of Professionals, a program of the Chamber of Commerce.
Explores city's "ethnic heritage of yesterday and today"; includes
visit to public museum's exhibit "Newcomers: The People of the Place,"
a guide through unique ethnic communities, and networking reception at

Michigan." Fred Stella, host of WGVU Interfaith Dialogue Association
show, "explains core beliefs of the many faiths in our neighborhoods
and helps dispel myths and stereotypes associated with various

Center for Women in Transition, with author Mary Karr ("The Liar's

COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES
The Center for Women in Transition assembles May Baskets of household
cleaning products and personal care items for its clients. Bring

Holland Area PRIDE Festival is seeking musicial entertainers to perform
at various times during the event, 1 pm-6 pm, Saturday, June 29, in
