"Love is Stronger than Hate": Support Fund
As a follow-up to recent attacks that damaged vehicles of African Americans in Holland, the Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony has established an account at Macatawa Bank to help reimburse Rev. Wayne and Ruth Coleman and Marvin Younger for auto insurance deductibles and other expenses they will have to pay as a result of the incidents.
Checks should be written to ACEH Support Fund: Love is Stronger than Hate, with the account number 7201 1337, and deposited at any Macatawa Bank branch.

TONIGHT, Aug 19, 7 pm: Holland Public Schools Board of Education regular meeting. (The board meets on the third Monday of each month.) Open to the public. At East School cafeteria, 373 East 24th St, Holland.
Tues, Aug 20, 6:30 pm (Native English speakers) and 7:30 pm (Native Spanish speakers). Informational meeting for Reciprocal Language Partnership Class that will be held this fall. RLP pairs people who want to learn or improve their English language skills with people who want to learn or improve their Spanish. Another meeting will be held Aug 27 (see below); attend Aug 20 or 27, not both. At Central Wesleyan Church, Room D102, 446 West 40th, Holland.

Thurs, Aug 22, 6:30 – 9:30 pm: Movin' On In. Hands-on housing simulation event, including speakers and a service project, "to educate about issues related to homelessness and affordable housing."
