Research Study on Diverse Religious Faiths
Hope College psychology department professor Dr. Daryl Van Tongeren is seeking people of diverse religious faiths to take part in research on religious attitudes and beliefs. Participants will complete surveys and provide their opinions during a one-hour study session. The study's announcement says: "You will receive $10 for participating; you will add to the scientific understanding of religious traditions that have not been studied very much at all; your efforts will provide a valuable contribution to understanding the richness of religious beliefs; you may even enjoy taking the survey and reflecting on your own beliefs." Junior Police Academy
Three-week free summer academy (July 21 – August 7; Mon-Thurs from 8 am to 1 pm) hosted by Holland Police Department for local students who have just completed the 6th or 7th grade. Includes classroom instruction and a recreation period; topics cover court and probation system, fire department, 911 system, traffic enforcement including a mock crash, firearms/use of force, crime scene investigation; discussions on creating laws, cultural sensitivity/prejudice, and goal-setting/responsibility. Korean Culture Camp of Michigan
Korean Culture Camp of Michigan (KCCM) (Mon, June 23- Thurs, June 26) for ages 3 years through 8th grade by start of school year. Various times depending on age.
