            Mon, March 13 (through Sat, March 18), 7:30 pm:  Film, "The Eagle Huntress."  A 13-year-old Mongolian girl fights to become first female eagle hunter in 12 generations of her family; covers her personal journey and themes of female empowerment, the natural world, coming of age, and the onset of modernity.  Rated PG-13.  In Persian with English subtitles.  $7 regular admission; $6 seniors.  At Knickerbocker Theatre, 86 East 8th St, Holland.

Tues, March 14, 4 pm: 2017 Asian Heritage Lecture: "The Intersection of Faith, Race, and Identity."  Community and faith leader Robin Afrik of Holland will share her cross-cultural experiences and faith journey toward healing and reconciliation.  Free; open to all.  Co-sponsored by Center for Diversity and Inclusion, student HAPA group, and GROW.  At Hope College Maas Center, 264 Columbia Ave (between 10th & 13th Sts), Holland.

 Wed, March 15, 7:15 pm:  Lecture: "A Critical Look at Racial Realities in Cinema."  Examines how comedy can explore issues "in ways that allow audiences to digest messages that are uncomfortable to confront in day to day life."  Organized by Partners for a Racism-Free Community.  At UICA, 2 Fulton West, Grand Rapids.

Thurs, March 16, 6 pm: "Invisible Walls, Ceilings, and Floors: Championing the Voices and Inclusion of Female Leaders of Color in West Michigan."  Community Forum to share findings and recommendations of a research project of the W.K.  Fri, March 17, 7 pm: PFLAG Holland/Lakeshore.  View documentary "Gender Revolution," a film guided by journalist Katie Couric.  Free, all are welcome.
