Mon, July 31, 7 pm: Candidate forum for Holland's Ward 3. The League of Women Voters of the Holland Area will host a forum for the three candidates—Brian Burch, Raul Garcia, and Tim Marroquin—vying for Ward 3's seat on the Holland City Council. This is the only contested race in the August 8 primary election. At Holland City Hall, 270 South River, Holland.
Tues, Aug 1, 4 pm: National Night Out. Community event "to show support for local police-community partnerships and safe neighborhoods." Food, music, games, car show, contests, movie at dusk, more. At Kollen Park, Lake Macatawa, Holland.
Wed, Aug 2, 7:30 am registration, 8:30 am shotgun start, 1:30 pm lunch & program. ACEH will hold its 19th annual Potluck in the Park on Sunday, August 13, from 1 to 4 pm at the Kollen Park Band Shell, by Lake Macatawa in Holland.
Come enjoy fun, fellowship, music, family activities, games, piñata, and great food. Invite someone new in the community!

Community Opportunities
Citizenship classes: Escape Ministries is hosting 10 weeks of citizenship classes; participants will prepare for the civics/history exam, practice English, and get help with their applications to become naturalized U.S. citizens.
