Now to June 15: "A Hundred Flowers: Phillip A. Harrington Photography from the People's Republic, 1956-1957."   One of the first American journalists to enter Red China, Phillip A. Jan 30 – Aug 16: Splendors of Shiga: Treasures from Japan.  Exhibit is partnership with Shiga, Grand Rapids' sister state in Japan; includes pottery, scrolls, screens, kimono and functional objects, works on paper and in wood; exhibit will change every two months.  Includes video and other materials on Shiga. Looking Ahead

Volunteer Opportunity
Help Measure a Point in Time:  The Lakeshore Housing Alliance will conduct its annual count of persons experiencing homelessness in Ottawa County on January 28 and 29.  Collecting reliable data on the number and characteristics of individuals, families, and unaccompanied children experiencing homelessness is "a critical component of local homeless planning and program development." Volunteers are needed for daytime and nighttime counts.  Locations will include Community Kitchen in Holland and other sites to be determined.  Volunteers are asked to attend one of two training webinars by using their computer, tablet, or smart phone on Tues, Jan 20, 9 am to  10 am, at https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/761692357 or on Wed, Jan 21, 2 pm to 3 pm, at
