Wed, July 22: Deadline for registering for MAM-JAM Indoor/Outdoor 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament to be held Saturday, July 25.  $15 per person; $45 per team.  Contact Steve Turrell at Maple Avenue Ministries or email gqstevieboy@hotmail.com.

Fri, July 31, 7 pm: First International Food Cook-Off; event includes food, art exhibit, music, prizes.  $10 tickets at the door,  to taste and vote for dishes; event is free if you enter a dish in the contest.  Vegetarian, vegan entries encouraged.  To register your dish, email info@hfainc.org.   Proceeds to benefit African Community Center of Michigan and its efforts to help African refugees resettle in West Michigan.  At St. Cecilia's Music Society, 24 Ransom St NE, Grand Rapids.
