Fri, July 9, 7 pm: General meeting of Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony; public is invited. Speaker Al Serrano, director of the Holland Human Relations Commission, on the work and challenges of the Commission. Tues, July 13, 6 pm: Foreclosure Prevention workshop sponsored by Community Action House and city of Holland. Information about the foreclosure process, options, and the new federal Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), including eligibility requirements, how to apply, etc. Workshop is free, but registration is required; call Margarita Hernandez at (616) 738-1170.
