We hope so…and we're asking you to consider joining ACEH or renewing your membership as our current fiscal year gets under way. Memberships support this email and all the other ACEH activities. The dues are $20 a year ($35/two years) for an individual; $30 a year ($50/two years) for a family; $40 for nonprofits; $75 for businesses. Presented by Hope College Office of Multicultural Education with several faculty and administrators; provides an opportunity for interactions with people from different social identity groups and a safe environment in which topics of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, and class will be discussed; includes activities, individual and small group reflections, and dialogues. Open to the community. At Maas Conference Room, Tues, Oct 23, 6 to 9 pm: Opening session of West Coast Connect (formerly Holland First), "learning about the community through the eyes of diversity and promoting cultural awareness and community leadership." Sessions are free and run on Tuesdays through Dec. 18. Registration required. Thurs, Oct 25, 7 pm: "Understanding the Role of Women in Islamic Societies." Presentation by Ambassador Tahir-Kheli.
