Tony Award-winning musical drama is true story of Leo Frank's trial and lynching in early 20th century Atlanta. Ostracized for his faith and Northern heritage, Jewish factory manager Frank is accused of murdering a local girl the day of the annual Confederate Memorial Day parade; in a town reeling with social and racial tension, there are conflicting accounts, false testimony, mishandled evidence. Thurs, Aug 9, 2 pm – 3:30 pm: "Advocacy: Action vs Apathy." Panel, Q&A discussion "on ways families are impacted by U.S. immigration laws, polices, and practices and to consider the role of the populace in a democracy." Co-sponsored by Hope's Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates, and Hope Church RCA. At Fried-Hemenway Auditorium, Martha Miller Center, 257 Columbia at 10th St, Holland.

Sun, August 12, 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm: 20th anniversary ACEH Potluck in the Park! Fun, fellowship, great food, music, entertainment, family activities, information tables! Your dues are needed to help pay for "In the Community," our monthly Newsletter, educational programs, partnerships with other groups, outreach and advocacy, and community social events twice a year.
