Sat, Sept 12, and Sun, Sept 13: 9th annual Tulipanes Latino Art and Film Festival: films, music and dance performances, cantina, worship service.  Showcases Latino contributions in the arts and to the area's economy.  Free. Sat, Sept 12, 5:20 pm:  "Escuela" (School). Tulipanes film sponsored by the Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony/Gary Pepe Memorial Fund.  Documentary depicting lives of contemporary Mexican American migrants and their struggles to educate their children while obtaining employment.  Centered around the daughter, Liliana, as she enters high school; follows the family as it moves back and forth between their home in Texas and the California agricultural fields, and the impact on the young woman.  Part of Tulipanes Latino Art and Film Festival.  At Knickerbocker Theatre, 8th Street, Holland.
